Guided Discovery: Noisy Engine

Engine louder than it used to be?

Let’s work out what it’s saying

Ticking, rattling and clattering all mean something different. Many of them can be quietened without taking the engine apart.

A healthy engine has a steady, even hum. When something changes, the noise usually changes first, often long before any warning light comes on. The cause is commonly one of a few things: parts inside the engine that have worn and now have a little extra play, oil that isn’t reaching every part quickly enough, or carbon and dirt that have built up inside the engine and fuel system.

The good news is that these are exactly the problems XADO is made for. Revitalizant rebuilds worn metal surfaces so the parts fit snugly again, and XADO cleaners clear the deposits that make an engine rattle and clatter. Most drivers notice a quieter engine within the first few hundred kilometres.

Listen carefully to your engine, then find the description below that sounds most like it.
