Listen to your vehicle on a quiet road. A low whine from the back axle that rises with your speed. A hum from the gearbox in one particular gear. A clunk when you take up the drive. Gear teeth carry enormous pressure on a contact patch no bigger than a fingernail. This oil is built for that. It holds up under extreme loads and at high temperatures, and it is especially effective in the heavily loaded gears of a rear axle, including limited-slip differentials. In the gearbox it helps the gear changes come more cleanly and accurately.

It also does something an ordinary gear oil cannot. Revitalizant compensates for ongoing wear on the gear teeth and bearings, building a ceramic-metal layer on the surfaces that carry the load, and it works on the softer metal parts inside the gearbox too. How to use

Check your owner’s handbook for the grade and quantity for each unit. As a rough guide, a pickup differential takes 2 to 3 litres and a gearbox 2 to 3 litres, while truck axles and gearboxes take far more, so buy enough 1-litre cans for the job.

With the vehicle level and the oil warm, remove the filler plug first, then the drain plug, and let the old oil drain fully. Refit the drain plug and fill with XADO 80W-90 until the oil reaches the bottom of the filler hole. Refit the filler plug. Repeat for each unit.
