XADO Snipex is a gel treatment for the barrels of rifled firearms. It restores the inner surface of the barrel, improving accuracy and extending the working life of sport shooting equipment. It carries our highest Revitalizant rating, RF 100, and one treatment lasts for 3,000 shots.

Accuracy begins inside the barrel. As a bullet travels down the bore, the spiral grooves cut into the steel, called rifling, grip it and set it spinning, and that spin is what keeps it steady all the way to the target. For this to work, the fit between bullet and bore has to be close and even along the whole length of the barrel.

Every shot wears that fit a little. The heat and pressure of firing erode the steel, especially near the chamber. Fine cracks appear, the edges of the rifling round off, and traces of corrosion roughen the surface. A shooter sees it on the target long before it shows in the barrel: groups that used to be tight begin to open up.

Snipex applies the same technology that XADO uses to restore engines. During firing, Revitalizant forms a ceramic-metal layer on the inner surface of the barrel, restoring its shape and leaving a smoother, harder surface that resists wear.

The result is a barrel that shoots more consistently and lasts longer. Snipex carries the “Member Tested and Recommended” mark of the NTOA, awarded in 2018.

How to use

Follow the instructions printed on the pack, which give the exact amount for your calibre and the method of application.

In outline: make sure the firearm is unloaded, then clean the barrel thoroughly. Apply the gel to the inside of the bore as directed. The treatment forms as the firearm is used, and is complete after about 30 shots.

One treatment protects the barrel for up to 3,000 shots, after which it can be repeated.
